TIME HAS LAID ITS ATTIRE ASIDE Fashion from Manuscripts of the 11th - 16th Centuries 27th November 2008 – 1st March 2009
Through unique illuminations from the National Library collections of manuscripts, the exhibition shows the lifestyle of the medieval society and how clothing developed and varied in individual social classes, from the ruler through the citizens to people at the fringe of the society. PRAGUE THE SCULPTUROUS, MYSTERIOUS 1st October 2008 – 30th March 2009
The exhibition, held under the auspices of Prague Mayor Pavel Bém and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Austria Pavel Koukal, is organised by the National Library of the Czech Republic in association with the Art-Kolegium Association, with kind support of the Sprcha marketing Agency. The exhibition shows the specific mysterious uniqueness of the City of Prague that used to be the centre of Europe in the period of Rudolph II. Authors were inspired by stories from Czech, and mainly Prague history.
